What It’s About
This internship is for young adults between the ages 18-22 who desire to have hands on ministry experience in a diverse church context and believe in touching the local community and the nations beyond. It is specifically for those who have a heart for local church ministry but who also exemplify a huge heart for missions and the world (at Nations Church we do not separate the two). Our interns serve specifically in the area they most feel called to (children, youth, music, outreach, senior pastoring etc.), study material related to that context, undergird the efforts of the pastoral staff over that area of ministry, and receive mentorship and discipleship from our staff pastors. Interns also help to undergird the outreach of our church to the Athens community and invest time into understanding and building relationships with our different ethnic fellowships. Interns participate in various prayer initiatives with the church and also have light responsibilities for the care of our facilities. Interns must be team players in their approach to their time with us and embrace the big picture and overall vision of the church that is beyond the scope of their own internship.

However, all tuition, scholarships, applications etc. are processed and handled by the school themselves without the involvement of the staff of Nations Church. Additionally, if an Intern wishes to work part time in the Athens area to offset the cost of tuition they will be allowed to do so.
