Start Where You're Stuck

Start Where You're Stuck

Most of us are waiting for the big moment. The clean slate. The Monday that finally sticks. We think momentum arrives all at once, and until it does, we stay put.

But in thirty years of ministry I have watched something different play out again and again. Change rarely begins with a leap. It begins with what I call a hinge decision, a small, specific, Holy Spirit-empowered choice made right in the middle of the mess.

The door only opens a crack at first

Jesus did not tell the paralyzed man to run. He told him to do the one thing he had been avoiding for thirty-eight years: get up. One decision. One small act of obedience that put him in motion.

You may not be able to fix the whole thing today. But you can almost always take the next honest step:

A winning life is not built on willpower. It is built on a string of small decisions surrendered to God.

Where are you actually stuck?

Before you can move, you have to be honest about where you are standing. That is why I built the free personal health assessment, to help you name the one area that needs the next step most.

Start there. Not everywhere. Just there. Then take the next step, and watch what God does with a person who finally decides to move.
